The General Command of Sharjah Police said the case was handled by the General Department of Criminal Security and Ports, whose teams worked to identify and locate the suspect within a short period of time.

Sharjah: Sharjah Police have uncovered the circumstances surrounding the killing of two Kazakh sisters and arrested the suspect, also a Kazakh national, following an intensive investigation that involved evidence gathering, intelligence analysis and the use of advanced technologies.

The General Command of Sharjah Police said the case was handled by the General Department of Criminal Security and Ports, whose teams worked to identify and locate the suspect within a short period of time.

The incident came to light after the police operations room received a report of a suspected crime inside a residential apartment. Specialist teams immediately launched investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the case.

Brigadier Dr Khalifa Belhoul, Director of the Criminal Investigation and Investigation Department at Sharjah Police, said investigations revealed that the two sisters had a personal relationship with the suspect and that disputes had arisen between them, ultimately leading to the crime.

He said the rapid response of police teams, coordination between security units and the accuracy of investigative procedures contributed to solving the case and arresting the suspect in record time.

According to Sharjah Police, the suspect confessed to the crime after being confronted with evidence and investigative findings. Legal measures have been taken and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation.

Lieutenant General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, praised the efficiency and professionalism demonstrated by criminal investigation teams in handling the case.

He said solving the crime and apprehending the suspect within a short period reflected the advanced readiness, operational efficiency and capability of police services to deal with various security challenges.

He also urged members of the public not to spread rumours or share unverified information and to rely on official sources for news and updates.
